That idea of a full suit would be great! Maybe something like a wintersday transmogrifier tonic?

Great idea! I hadn't even thought of something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but isn't Santa just for Christmas, and Christmas for Christians/Catholics? LOL I should know this
Maybe they could have a general purpose "Wintersday" pet. It IS named Wintersday and not Christmas afterall.

Whats wrong with christmas , yes Santa does give presents so a mini pet gift would come from Santa hence Christmas

There's nothing wrong with Christmas. Unfortunately, we live in an over-politically correct world and if A-net grants one religion an event or an item over another, someone is bound to get angry. I know it makes no sense, Guild Wars is just a game, but to keep everyone happy they shouldn't take real-life religious holidays, beliefs, etc. and put them in game.

To further my last comment, ever wonder why they call it "Wintersday"?
My guess is so they don't get in trouble from a Jewish person angry at having to celbrate Christmas or a Christian person upset at celebrating Kwanza

DISCLAIMER- I just used those religions and religious holidays as an example, I'm not trying to get anybody mad, I'm just backing up a point. I would REALLY appreciate it if anyone who is thinking of making a response that will include anything about religion to stop it right now before this thread gets locked. Religious discussions on game forums most often lead to flame wars and heavy lockage.

It has been itching me for awhile, so I had to share it.

I have no idea weither or not the Wintersday celebrations will take place in Ascalon / Lion's Arch or Lion's Arch and Kamadan or All three Campaigns.

But My idea is such: Either as a single Item: A Tuque and a Scarf (as a helm) or as 2 Seperate items such as Grenith vs Dwanya (Both as seperate "helms")

The Dark Areas are dyable, (Or Red) The White areas are white and the Scrufy places are fluffy white.

I know physics can be enabled in Helms (The Dragon helm for instance) And was wondering if the scarf down the front could have Cape-like physics or if that would be too much. Even there, there would have to be a different scarf for male and females seeing as the models are formed differently.

But thats just idea, What are yours?

Personally I prefer the Scarf, Seeing as it would be something compleatly diferent then any other Festive item released, and we get to keep our Avatar's hair.

Read it again and you will see that i was only joking :P

Anyways reading Galie's comments almost gave me the assurance that i will be able to make my second million this festive season.

My bad!

To the above posters comment on a Turque and Scarf-
I see no problem with that idea, I personally would prefer the scarf more because as you said, it would be something new. I enjoy the idea of having a headgear that would fly around like my cape. Another possible addition (though I doubt it will happen) is to let us equip the scarf without removing the helm. I don't know about you guys but I would find questing in the shiverpeaks with a scarf on in my armor would be pretty funny.

No keep giving us new hats! They are the best part of the events (IMO). Wait, do you mean give us things like special ingame shirts or shoes or something? That would be cool but unless it's either a full outfit or a shirt, I doubt it will be as noticable and cool as the hats we get right now.

Cool! This would be the best event ever if we got minipets that are snowmen or something else related to the event!

And why is everyone saying they are gonna stock up on CC's for selling? I'm gonna stock up for my own use!

And about those candy cane weapons, how about the pvp-er's get weapons that are max damage, while the pve-er's get non-max damage ones that are just for show?

I just hope Anet brings back the Horns of Grenth... I missed Wintersday last year and really want my characters to have those horns.

Beatcha! We were Santa's Helpers last year.

Sivinn is the one on the right, wearing the 15k frostbound top, and 15k studded leather gloves, skirt, and boots.

Remember Winterday is the Tyria New Year... not X-mas. Lets not confuse them together.

I had some things going on in my Real Life, during the last wintersday event, so the only thing I was able to do was log in Santa Claws on Christmas and give away a bunch of unidentified runes to new players.

I really, really, really want a Santa hat for Santa Claws, I don't want some elf hat with elf ears, that's worthless to me. At most what I would do with that is get one for my mule, Santas Little Mule.

What I would like to see would be an event in Kamadan where they gave away new goodies (ugh, elf hats) and an event in LA/Ascalon that parallelled the original wintersday event (perhaps the new hats would look slightly different than the originals, but red with fur trim and a furball on the end of it is all good. Santa needs his hat, his head is cold without it).
